Personal information is data that can be used to identify or contact a single person. You may be asked to provide personal information when completing an order or contacting us. We may share this data internally between employees of Photocentric and use it in regards to this privacy policy. You are not required to provide personal information we have requested on orders and contact forms, however if you choose not to provide the data we may not be able to help you with your enquiries or process your order.

What Personal data do we collect and how is it used?

When you make a purchase from this website, we collect certain personal information from you e.g. your name, address, payment details and contact/billing details. We use this data to process your order and we then use return email addresses to answer emails we receive, to inform you that your order has been received and to provide tracking information. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

When you register an account with us we store the personal information you have provided when making your user profile. If contacting us via a contact form we use this data in order to contact you regarding your enquiry and if you opt in to the newsletter subscription we may contact you with updates and information on our products and services.

How Long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except for usernames, they cannot be changed). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

How we protect your data

Photocentric takes your security very seriously. Our website uses encryption such as SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol to ensure data passed between your browser and our web server remains private.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
